Addenda

I picked up a new skill the other day.

So, during lockdown I've sort of had the same type of routine every week, and I'm going to be honest, it gets pretty boring. I'm grateful that my family and I are all healthy, but we haven't seen 'normal' life in, what? 4, 5 MONTHS??

I wish that we could flick a switch and everything would go back to the way it was, but alas, sadly humans have yet to grasp the concept of time travelling.

Although, in all seriousness, it had gotten to a point where I was just bored, and needed a few new things to focus my attention on.

So I googled 'things to do at home' (as we all do!). There were many things that looked fun, but what i really wanted was a new skill, something that would work in the long term.

Then, just as I was getting lost on the world wide web, I remembered a documentery that I had watched about the french art of tying knots, macramé.

I learned how to tie a simple twisted knot and, then, I knew that this was something that i was going to enjoy doing, and unlike knitting or sewing, it isn't dangerous or easy to get wrong. (Which is perfect for me!)

But anyway, I just thought that I'd share this as I'm really enjoying learning this new skill!

(P.S. Addenda means 'bored' in latin, just in case you were wondering!)
